Request for Proposals

The Village of Rhinebeck is seeking competitive proposals from qualified HVAC Contractors to design  and install Cold Climate Air Source Heat Pump (ccASHP System) and Heat Pump Water Heater. The  system will include heating/cooling for the entire building. The project also includes replacing the current water heater with a 50-gallon heat pump water heater.  The project also includes electrical upgrades entailing the addition of a 200 amp service and moving electrical vehicle charging stations to this new service.

Background 

The Village of Rhinebeck is looking to install an energy efficient Cold Climate Air Source Heat Pump System to remove fossil fuel heating and replace existing water heater with a Heat Pump Water Heater at the Police Department building, which was built in 2014 and has a tight envelope. The Village of Rhinebeck is looking to utilize a NYSERDA Clean Energy Communities Grant as well as NYS Clean Heat incentives.  The goal is to transform the Police Department building into a “demonstration site” per NYSERDA’s Clean Energy Communities program.
