NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION

NOTICE HEREBY IS GIVEN, that the BOARD OF TRUSTEES of the VILLAGE OF RHINEBECK, Dutchess County, State of New York adopted at a meeting held on the 21st day of September 2020 at the VILLAGE HALL, 76 East Market Street, Rhinebeck, New York a resolution abolishing the Office of Village Justice effective upon the expiration of the current term of that office on March 31, 2021. Such resolution does not take effect until thirty (30) days after its adoption or until approved by the affirmative vote of a majority of the electors of the VILLAGE OF RHINEBECK affected, qualified to vote at the last annual election of the Village voting on such proposition if, within thirty (30) days after its adoption, there shall be filed with the Village Clerk a petition signed and acknowledged in the manner required by Section 9-902 of the Village Law, protesting such resolution and requesting that it be submitted to the electors of such Village for their approval or disapproval.
