Light the Village Pink

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and on Friday, October 1, 2021 the Mayor, joined with County Executive Marc Molinaro and Senator Sue Serino, congratulated Northern Dutchess Hospital President Denise George and Fellowship trained breast surgeon, Dr. Lisa Curcio, as they launched the ceremony for “Light the Village Pink”. In an effort to spread awareness, businesses and residents throughout the Village have set up pink lights and encourage those who have not yet done so to decorate the exterior of their homes, office buildings, shop windows or cubicles in all things pink to show support for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Pink lightbulbs are still available for pick up at local businesses who are in partnership with Light the Village.

This event will run throughout the month of October, concluding on Sunday, October 31st. During the month, educational and cause marketing events will also take place.
Participants are invited to share photos of their pink decorations/lights on social media by posting on the Nuvance Health Facebook and Twitter page and The Village of Rhinebeck Facebook page.
