REQUEST: The existing garage is already in the side yard setback on the east side of property. The owners are requesting multiple area variances to address an expansion of the garage and its footprint. This includes increasing the square footage or building the footprint beyond the required 530 sq. ft., and the addition of a new mini split/HVAC unit to be in the side yard setback on the eastern side of the garage. The requested area variance for the garage in the side-yard setback, is 7.2 ft, relief sought 2.8 ft. and for the condenser unit 5 ft., relief sought 5 ft. This parcel is in the Residential District and Historic Overlay District.
