Village Hall Open During Sidewalk Construction
Please Take Notice
The Village of Rhinebeck is delighted to announce that our long-awaited improvements for the sidewalks that front our buildings has begun!
Access to the front of Village Hall has temporarily changed to make way for a much-improved ADA entrance to the building. While a construction crew works to replace the entryway and sidewalks, the Village Hall is still open for regular business. Please approach the building from the south (near the police station), and you’ll see a temporary ramp near the SE corner of the Village Hall.
Please use caution.
In case you missed it, the Village of Rhinebeck approved a process to upgrade the sidewalks that front Village Hall, the Fire Department, and the municipal parking lot in 2022, and with the coming of spring, construction has begun! If you are curious to see the plans, they are attached HERE:
These new sidewalks and a new four-way crosswalk at the intersection of E. Market and Center Streets will continue our work to make the Village of Rhinebeck a safely walkable community for users of all ages and abilities. We’d like to thank Dutchess County for providing a portion of the funding for this project through the 2022-2023 CDBG and 2022 MIG grant programs.
As this work necessarily involves digging up the current sidewalks, please use caution for the next few weeks while this work is underway. The work is scheduled to be complete by April 30, 2024.
Thank you for your support and patience during this exciting time!
