Healthcare Workers Salute

Village of Rhinebeck Event: Healthcare Salute Parade in Rhinebeck, April 8, 3pm.

Join us to show your support for our local healthcare workers at Northern Dutchess Hospital! Our healthcare workers are on the frontline, keeping our community safe during the COVID-19 outbreak. Mayor Bassett reached out to the hospital, proposing a socially-distanced way to well-wish, and the hospital is excited to have Rhinebeck come together in this way.

On Wednesday, April 8 at 2:30, queue up on Old Post Rd so as not to block traffic on Montgomery and Mt Rutsen.

At 3pm, our caravan will embark! We will drive bumper to bumper through the hospital parking lot with passengers holding up signs. The hospital will have asked staff to look out the windows and/or step outside.

Directions:

2:30pm: Queue up on Old Post Rd where it forks from Montgomery/Mt Rutsen.

3pm: Caravan south down Montgomery. The caravan will use the Montgomery entrance to the hospital parking lot. We will drive along the west side of the main hospital building, turning left to drive along the front of the hospital.

Cars then go right to exit out of the parking lot onto Springbrook and disperse.

A few notes:

● People are to remain in their cars the whole time.

● We cannot block the emergency room entrance, so will not be wrapping all the way around the hospital.

● Refrain from honking, as it would be disruptive to the patients trying to get rest.

● Police will be on hand to help direct the flow.

Get your signs ready and mark your calendars. Share to social media #rhinebeckresponds

We can't wait to see how many cars show up!
