Update on COVID19 Containment Operations from Village of Rhinebeck

Our primary goal as we face an unprecedented health emergency is to ensure the health and safety of the public. This has meant taking decisive action to slow the spread of the COVID19 virus in order to save lives and avoid overwhelming our healthcare system. The Village of Rhinebeck is complying with orders from the New York State Governor by operating at 50% staffing levels for non essential employees until March 31. Our police officers are available to our residents should the need arise and our volunteer EMS personnel have plans in place to staff the firehouse 24/7 should the call volume increase. Village Hall remains open with limited staffing. We have implemented rotating work schedules, and a number of employees are working from home.

As there are no walk-ins allowed, here is the current information on how to contact your Village government should you need to:

- Treasurer office and Deputy Clerk - 845-876-7015 ext 5

- Mayor’s office -845-876-7015 ext 2

- Police - 845-876-8181

ALSO:

- Water meter reading will continue for all radio metered accounts. For those who do not have a radio-meter the charge will be estimated and finalized at a later date.

- Brush Pick Up will begin on April 1 as scheduled, but expect delays

- Certificate of Occupancy appointments for inside inspections are suspended until further notice

- Building, Planning and Zoning Clerk is working from home, please email the office jfenton@villageofrhinebeckny.gov

- The Deputy Clerk is in the office half-time and will respond to emails cdenu@villageofrhinebeckny.gov

- The Treasurer is in the office half-time and will respond to emails kmclaughlin@villageofrhinebeckny.gov

We are in constant touch with local healthcare facilities and New York State and Dutchess County officials. I will be providing regular updates as needed.
