Planning Board Public Hearing Notice

  PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Planning Board of the Village of Rhinebeck will hold a Public Hearing, pursuant to Chapter 120, Section 46, of the Village Law, on the Application of:

 

SOL Acai Smoothie Bar/Megan Martino, Suite 3, 41 East Market Street, Rhinebeck, NY 12572

Property Owner: J&K Curthoys Realty Corp. 139 East Market Street, Rhinebeck, NY 12572

APPLICATION FOR: 1). Special Use Permit – Proposed restaurant/retail smoothie bar. The proposed special use will serve light breakfast offerings and breakfast style beverages along with different types of smoothies. Also coffee, and other non-alcoholic hot and cold beverages will be served. All items for purchase will be to-go. The number of employees proposed is three and the hours of operation are Monday -Thursday 7am-5pm and Friday and Saturday 7am-7pm, Sunday 7am-4pm.This property is in the Village Center Business and Historic Overlay Districts.   

 Said hearing will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 during the remote Planning Board Videoconference Meeting. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Based upon notices, and health advisories issued by Federal, State and Local officials related to the COVID-19 virus, as permitted under the Governor of the State of New York’s Emergency Order 202.1, due to public health and safety concerns, the public will not be permitted to attend the public meeting in person at any of the remote locations where the Planning Board will be situated, or in any other locations. The public will have the opportunity to see and hear the meeting live and provide comments via the Zoom videoconference meeting. Further details for the Zoom videoconference meeting will follow, and will be a part of the meeting agenda. Please pay attention to the Village of Rhinebeck website for updates and announcements or contact the Planning Board clerk for further information.    

The Planning Board, at said time and place will hear all persons or their agents in support of, or any who object to this proposed application. If you believe you will be unable to attend on May 18; please submit all comments to the Planning Board Clerk prior to May 18 either by mail ATTN: Planning Board at 76 East Market Street Rhinebeck, NY 12572 OR by email at rdowden@villageofrhinebeckny.gov

If you plan on attending the remote meeting you will be able to ask questions and or comment through the “Chat” function on Zoom by notifying the clerk, or day of the public hearing you can email them to the clerk at; rdowden@villageofrhinebeckny.gov who will provide them to Chair to be read into the record. The Planning Department does recommend if due to an anticipation of a high volume of questions, comments, or concerns that residents submit them prior to the meeting.
